The Philippine community has made a significant contribution to the
success of Blacktown, a City that is Growing with Pride. Filipinos comprise some 20% of
Blacktown City's NESB population and play a vital role in the community's growth. With one
in eighty Australians choosing to live in Blacktown, it is a City which has much to offer
people from around the world.
This website provides a global medium for online interaction between
individuals, companies and community organisations with an interest in Philippine-related
trade, products or services. It provides a forum for young Philippine-born Australians to
communicate online with each other and with community groups, fostering a sense of pride
in their cultural heritage. It offers businesses modern marketing tools and provides a
'one stop shop' for information about the Philippines.

The launch of this site in June 1998 coincides with the centenary
celebrations of Philippine independence. On behalf of the Councillors and community of
